The University of Hertfordshire Dance Club accommodates all levels of dancers. So, whether you want to compete at high level dance competitions and perform at our many events throughout the year, or you have decided to learn to dance for the first time now, there is a place for everyone.
Two main disciplines currently available are Hip-Hop and Contemporary. other styles may be introduced during the course of the year.
Taster sessions are held in the first two weeks of term. Competition auditions are held throughout the year, depending on when competitions take place.
You must pre-register to attend at either the AU Sports Fair on Wednesday 29 September or the SU Fresher’s Fair on Friday 1 October where you will be given further information.
The dance club take part in many dance competitions throughout the year.
Wednesdays, 14.15 - 16.15, Studio, Hertfordshire Sports Village, de Havilland Campus.
The Dance Club is coached by a highly experienced and qualified dance coach.

How do I join the Athletic Union?
To take out one of our superb membership deals you need to come to the Sports Village or the Athletic Union office on the de Havilland Campus with the following:
- Student ID card
- Re-enrolment e-mail (for renewing students)
- Method of payment
- Completed student membership form
How much will it cost?
The £10 Athletic Union start-up fee must be purchased before taking out any of the bolt-ons below:
- AU start-up fee: £10
- AU 1st Representative Club bolt on: £55
- AU 2nd Representative Club bolt on: £30
- AU Semester Representative Club bolt on: £35
- AU Club Health & Fitness Annual bolt on (off peak plus): £195
- AU Club Health & Fitness Semester bolt on (off peak plus): £135
